Title of Post: Waking Night Care Assistant
Place of Work: Ochil Tower School
Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday night one week and Sunday night only the following week
Hours: 9.00 p.m. to 8.00 a.m. weekends and 9.00 to 7.00 weekdays
Purpose of Job: To provide high quality care specifically to 4 to 6 pupils, with Additional Support Needs during the night time. This would include encouraging them to sleep, rest or remain peaceful and relaxed.
Responsible to: House Co-ordinators who review the night care duties at regular intervals; and to the live-in Co-Workers on call in the house.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide care through the night ,checking pupils at regular intervals according to their care plan.
To respond promptly to calls for assistance while respecting, at all times, the privacy, dignity and choice of the pupils.
To write the accurate, clear and timely entries in the night record for each pupil.
To receive the 9.30 p.m. report from the day staff and to present a report of the night at 7.30 am., alerting the day staff to any changes or concerns.
To take part in training and vocational courses as required.
Night Care Assistant (waking)
Care qualifications at SVQ level two are desirable. A commitment to train to N/SVQ 3 and HNC level is essential.

- Professional references, including previous and current employers
- Protection of Vulnerable Groups Certificate and the maintaining of a clear PVG are essential to this post
- Health Questionnaire and Letter from GP.

£ 13.00 per hour paid monthly
